WORKSHOP: INSTRUMENTATION DEMANDS FOR HYDROGEN AND BIO-FUELS
On-Line 6th May 2021, 12:00 - 18:00 CET
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a workshop on this critical and topical subject for the Gas Turbine Instrumentation Community
Workshop scope (find the final program here)
Papers, presentations or panel contributions are welcomed in the following areas:
- The operational context of changes to the fuel mix
- The combustion challenges
- Control system challenges
- Retro-fit challenges
- Applicable sensing technologies
- Remaining gaps - Discussion around the remaining capability gaps and action needed to overcome them.
Background It is now certain that the next decade will see significant changes in the fuel mix for gas turbines in aerospace, marine and power-generation. This is likely to see a complex mix of bio-derived hydrocarbon fuels, and energy vectors such as hydrogen and ammonia. All of these, alone or in combination, carry different burning properties and challenges for combustor design and operation. Advanced instrumentation will have a key role in optimising, controlling, and monitoring the combustion process. However, the instrumentation that will be key to delivering this capability reliably and efficiently, is not yet clear. There is an urgent need to identify potential requirements flowing from the flame physics, and to ensure that the instrumentation supply base is aligned to respond as needed. Whether you are designing control and monitoring systems for Gas-Turbines; designing Instrumentation for this market; or a researcher working in this area. This is the event for you. This topic is going to be very important for the Gas Turbine community and its instrumentation supply chain, so please consider getting involved. We are very pleased to announce that Oxsensis Ltd have agreed to sponsor and host this event. if you would like to present a paper or take part in a panel discussion please let us know. Publication Publication, at the author’s discretion will be via the EVI-GTI Website. There will be an option for journal publication in some circumstances – please ask for details Register Here A copy of your registration will be sent to Oxsensis who will then take over with organizing the workshop and with invoicing. Your data will only be used for the purpose of keeping you informed about the workshop, invoicing you for this workshop and posting you with workshop details and documents. For UK attendees the fee will be + VAT (20%). |
