1) The Joint ETC17 and the 12th EVI-GTI Conference

Dear EVI-GTI members and followers,

some of you may be busy in these days with preparations for the ASME Turbo in Milan, but I want to draw your attention to our  important Joint ETC17 / 12thEVI-GTI Conference in 2027.

There is only 1 week until the deadline of the Call for Papers for the ETC17 in Gdansk. Please submit your abstract for a full paper at the ETC17 until 15 June.

If you plan to just present a technical paper at the EVI-GTI Conference part of the ETC17, you have more time:

Call for EVI-GTI Presentations: starting on 1 October 2026.

2) Software for measurement techniques

As we got aware from several partners that they would like to receive an overview of available software for sensor and probe measurements etc., as opposed to in-house developed software by engine OEMs.

We wonder if a review of available software would be interesting for you to participate, contribute or chair. A workshop with several distributors from vendors, universities and OEMs could be start, possibly at the Gdansk Conference, or online.

- Any opinion in this?

Please contact us!

3) European Supply Chains

We also got aware from sensor manufacturers and vendors that current but also potential customers more and more ask if the supply chain is purely European, or if e.g. any parts origin from the U.S., or from China.

This seems to trigger the development of European origin products, a small but increasing market.

We wonder if you are concerned, as a vendor or a customer, and if you see a need for support, may it be a White Book, a workshop,  founding a working group, or other kind of activities?

This could also be a topic at the Gdansk Conference.

- Any opinion in this?
